DIY: Advent Calendar tutorial round up
Its not to late to make an advent calendar for this year. Now that our kids are old enough to understand the meaning behind Christmas and the advent calendar, we have decided that this year we would start a new tradition in our family.
The great thing about making your own is that you don’t need to fill them with chocolates and lollies, sure the occasional treat is ok, but you could fill them with little surprises, poems or even something for them to do. One thing that I plan on including in our advent calendar is that on one day they are to choose a toy that they have and we will donate that to charity, on another day we will also go out a buy a new toy and donate that to a charity that gives toys to less advantaged children at Christmas.
