Damask handmade finds

Caz is hosting a dinner party on Saturday night in her new house.   A dinner party for us is probably not what you imagine, elegant folks all dressed up, the chinking of champagne glasses and delicate sounds of laughter whilst nibbling on canapés.

None of that sort of carry on for us.  I have decided to wear taffeta, I am feeling rather princess at the moment, so it is off to the Op Shop today for a browse in the super duper taffeta puffy sleeved section for me.  I am trying to convince the man to wear one of the safari suits that can be found in the dress up box, but he is not too keen to go along with my brilliant plan.

Caz wants to theme her house and wants me to make the Masterchef Trifle.  Damask is the order of the day (we saw some pretty wedding damask decorations and it all kind of snowballed from there (you know how that happens, it starts as a simple catch up, and next thing you know you are wearing the the good jewels and heels and have candles everywhere cause you got carried away).

I must say I am very much looking forward to it, we haven’t had a fancy shmancy dinner for ages with an excuse to raid the dress up box.
