Introducing Diddi

Growing up in bayside Melbourne, Lizzie was the youngest of three daughters. Art was always her favoured subject. She studied graphic design at Monash University, and has worked in Melbourne design studios since graduating in 2003.
In 2006, illness required Lizzie to take a year long break from work. During that time of recovery (and extreme boredom!) Lizzie was introduced to quilting. The fabric colours and patterns, and graphic nature of the process really appealed. Finally the birth of her niece two years ago, and a baby boom amongst friends and acquaintances, led to the creation of diddi. Her aim was to create a series of graphic, simple designs that would make a big statement in a room with minimum effort.

diddis range includes personalised framed prints and wall decals for kid’s. A collection of individual, fun and bold designs to brighten a child’s room.

diddis collection of framed prints consist of a picture print and a letter print. The designs can be purchased as either a single print, or as a set of two personalised with the child’s initial. Each print is mounted in a solid wood frame, with a smooth white finish. The frames are 38cm x 38cm with the print area measuring 23cm x 23cm.

Taking inspiration from the resurgence in creative hand-made crafts, such as sewing and quilting, the designs combine eclectic colours and imagery with woven fabric textures. The resulting effect adds depth and dimension to the final prints, and when combined with the personalised lettering, gives the prints a distinct feeling of individuality.

diddis wall decals are easily applied and removed, without damaging paintwork. The high-quality decals are produced locally from a durable fabric-like material. The designs make the perfect compliment to diddis framed prints, or can add fun and whimsy when displayed on their own. The large decals measure around 90cm, with the smaller decals measuring roughly 40cm.
