Can anyone relate? Please say someone can!? Maybe another stationery lover/hoarder out there.
Hubby and I seem to have a ridiculously large collection of highlighters! They keep multiplying.. Not sure where they all come from.. Maybe they sneak home with us from work? Or maybe it’s just an addiction? Who can say..
So we are off on a camping trip this weekend. It’s the first time in a very long time, and it’s also the first time I’ve been camping with a baby – our little miss is almost 5 months old now. Any tips for surviving camping with a bub?
Drawing from our upcoming adventure here are some camping and outdoor inspired handmade goodies-
Have you ever crafted with Papier Mache? I hadn’t before, though it had always been on my craft-bucket-list. So I was very excited to be asked to be part of this crafty project for the launch of Spotlight’s National Craft Month.
So armed with my Papier Mache Deer Head I set to work to create a cool deer head splashed with the kind of craft I love!
Below you will find directions for my deer head creation, but first check out the ‘Blogger Wall of Fame’. A group of Australian bloggers were challenged to decorate a deer head each using their own favourite crafting skills- how cool are all the deers, all so unique in their own way, using so many different crafty techniques.
WIN an amazing Craft Package this Mothers Day with Brother Australia
I’m so excited to be part of Brother’s #BrotherMakesMemories competition for Mother’s Day this year. Excited for numerous reasons – I love my Mum (hi Mum) and love making her something special each year, the prize package is so amazing (I’ll get to that below), I get to help judge the competition (phew, no pressure) and I get to work with two other lovely bloggers – Retro Mummy and Hipster Mum.
This Mothers Day why not make your Mum an extra special gift – one that is handmade by you! My Mum loves to read so I know that she will love this gift and appreciate the handmade sentiment that goes with it.
What I love about this little sewing project is that it is so easy to change it up and add your special style to it. Use your favourite craft or your Mum’s favourite to add an extra special touch. We used a combination of sewing with fabric, lace and appliqué. But you could use embroidery, cross-stitch, screen-printing, hand-sewing, add crochet, buttons or felt. It’s an all round crafty project.
I created this project for the Brother Australia #BrotherMakesMemories Competition – be inspired and create this Mother’s Day for the chance to WIN some amazing crafty prizes! More details here & here.
